Section VIII: Physical Challenges
A. General:
1. Competitors who are unable to comply with all rules pertaining to shooting
positions and allowable equipment, due to a physical challenge, may apply for a waiver or
special permit allowing the use of a specific position or shooting aid.
2. Application may be made to the Physically Challenged Committee
for a physically Challenged Shooters Card. The Shooters Card would specify the nature of
the competitor's medical condition and specific waiver or shooting aid approved.
3. Application for a Shooters Card must include all pertinent
information describing the condition, photos or sketches of the shooting position or
shooting aid for which approval is requested. Approval will be based upon the medical
necessity and need of each applicant.
4. A Physically Challenged Shooters Card is not mandatory, however
it is recommended, since such a document will facilitate approval by Match Officials who
are not familiar with the competitor.
5. Approval of a shooting position or shooting aid will not be
granted if such a position or aid creates an unsafe condition for the competitor or any
other person on the firing range. |
