- Wording
We the undersigned reject and condemn both the blatant and
the clandestine attempts by the United Nations to influence and fund numerous free
governments around the world in the disarmament of their citizens. We reject the principle
of a "gun free world" as being unrealistic and unachievable. The United Nations
and the free governments of the world would best serve their respective constituents by
co-ordinating their efforts in the fight against illegal firearms and illegal firearm
trafficking.
We as owners and collectors of legal firearms support any
effort by our governments to combat illegal firearms. We, as owners of legal firearms, do
not recognise the United Nations legitimacy with regard to this issue.
We reject the targeting of us the owners of legal sporting,
recreational and self defense firearms by our governments and the UN as unwarranted,
prejudicial and blatant gutter politics. While self defense remains a Human Right, we will
not surrender our right to own arms to protect ourselves, our families and our property.
Disarm the criminals as they are the invading armies of
today, we, your legally armed citizens are the last line of defense, or do the free
governments of the world require a legally declared state of war.
We call on the members of the United Nations to pass a
resolution (for what its worth) stating that firearm ownership is a national and not
international concern and to recognise that all citizens of the world have the right to
peacefully own and use firearms for self defense and sport.
